Our client is a market leader within the software industry. They are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to this newly created, key position. You will be responsible for all aspects of revenue recognition, including sales, consulting and training, billing reconciliations, deferred revenue streaming and contract obligations. You will also need to ensure compliance to SOP 97-2 guidelines applicable to UK and US Gaap. You will be liaising very closely with other areas such as sales and marketing in addition to regular contact with clients, so strong communication skills are absolutely vital. You will be part-qualified (Cima/Acca), probably towards the latter stages of your study. You must demonstrate prior experience of revenue accounting, preferably within the software industry. You should be deadline driven and demonstrate advanced Excel skills.
